From all Yangshuo hostels, we are outside of the center, where you are guaranteed to enjoy a good night sleep, with windows wide open. Sit back, relax and enjoy the comfort and Yangshuo's amazing scenery from one of our wide open terraces (with maximum exposure to the sun in winter!) and enjoy the qualities of Yangshuo from the very first moment you wake up. After traveling in big cities, Yangshuo's countryside feels like a welcome change, a time to relax and enjoy the comfort of our rooms and common areas with couches, hammocks and comfy chairs!
And from all places in a quiet and relaxed environment - outside of town - we are nearest to it, within easy walking distance (15-20min) along the banks of the Li-river straight to West Street with its lively cafes, shops and nightlife.

Trippers Carpe Diem is located halfway up the valley in Shi Ban Qiao better known as 'Long Tou Shan ( Dragon Head Mountain ), a picturesque village in the countryside near the Li-river going upstream (NW) from the river end of 'West Street' ( Yangshuo's lively center ) for about 7 min by bicycle or a 15 min walk. | | Directions | Trippers Carpe Diem is located in Shi Ban Qiao better known as 'Long Tou Shan ( Dragon Head Mountain ), a picturesque village in the countryside near the Li-river going upstream (NW) from the river end of 'West Street' ( Yangshuo's main shopping and bar street ) for about 7 min by bicycle or a 15-20 min walk.
Generally, we can arrange a taxi to pick you up from Guilin airport, Guilin City, the train- or bus station or any hotel, any time, day or night. This way it is easier to find our guesthouse and you don't have to worry about being cheated. From Guilin airport the standard fee is 260Y, day or night. If you prefer to go by the expressway (1hr instead of 1,5) add 30Y for the tolls. From Guilin center, bus- or train station the standard fee is 200Y.
Once in yangshuo, we offer a free pick-up service. However unfortunately, this cannot be arranged from beforehand as arrival times of boats and buses differ too much from the times estimated beforehand. Sometimes your boat or bus may arrive up to 2 hours early or later then previously stated...
So only when you call us upon arrival in Yangshuo (between 8am and 12pm) we can offer you the free pick-up service. You then only need to tell us where you are (bus or gas station, name big hotel...) and we will have someone to pick you up soon. | | Transportation | By public transport ;
From Guilin airport ; after every flight arrival there are buses which can take you to Guilin's center for ¥20. Be aware that like most bus services in China, the bus won't leave the airport until full so you may be faced with a wait. You can also get off at the last stop in Guilin and then take a bus or taxi to the Guilin bus station where you can take the bus to the Yangshuo bus station.
From Guilin bus station there are regular express buses to Yangshuo ( 1hr; 15Y ). From Guilin train station there are buses to Yangshuo too but they stop along the way ( 1,5hr; 15Y). Both will take you to the Yangshuo bus station. If you come to Yangshuo on a Li-river boat cruise from Guilin, a very scenic journey including the scenery that can be seen on all ¥20 bills, the boats stop at the docks near our guesthouse from which you can follow the signs on foot or we will pick you up at no additional costs. In winter time, which is the dry season, the boats often only travel starting halfway down the Li River from Guilin. A tour company will inform you of this. You will then travel part of the way by bus or private taxi, then join the boat where the water is deep enough (this may vary). | | Airport | Guilin, 100km, taxi 1h10-1h30min, 290-260Y. |
